Many of the people we work with arrive at a point where something has shifted, a new role, a transition, a stage of life and the strategies that have carried them this far no longer feel like enough.
Between Humans was created for these moments.
We're a developmental coach therapy practice built on the integration of coaching psychology and psychotherapeutic depth, helping clients build capability and self-awareness that lasts, whether the change they're navigating is playing out at work, at home, or somewhere in between. Our team includes both coaches and therapists - some qualified in both disciplines - so clients can work with whichever combination fits what they need. Kerry Carter, who leads the practice, brings two decades of experience across a wide range of sectors, from scientific research and engineering to banking, the arts, and the charitable sector, alongside clinical supervision experience and ongoing doctoral research at Oxford Brookes University into how people are best supported through change.
Part of what shapes our work is a grounding in neurodiversity, understanding how different minds work, communicate, and grow. We bring this lens to every client, working with whatever they arrive with rather than a formal diagnosis or a fixed category. It's not a framework we apply, it's a way of understanding each person more fully
We believe change happens through genuine human connection, being met and understood by another person, not through a framework applied at a distance. This is not generic coaching.
It's specialist, it's human, and it's grounded in real experience
One integrated service. No fixed process. No predetermined outcome.
We work at the pace and depth each client needs, holding space when that's what's required, moving into forward-facing work when a client is genuinely ready for it
My coach understood how deeply rejection and criticism could affect me, both in and out of the office. He skilfully and sensitively challenged some of my assumptions. Since finishing sessions, I still struggle sometimes, but overall my anxiety and self-doubt have reduced significantly
I was going through a really difficult period and felt close to burnout. My therapist asked the right questions and together we got to the crux of the issue, this helped me to make the necessary changes and move forward in my career. Thank you.
Your questions and reflections helped me build real self-awareness and a clearer understanding of my neurodivergence, both at home and as a leader. I'm more comfortable in my own skin now, and it comes through in how I show up at work. I know the value of my unique skill set, and the many ways it positively impacts my team
